2013 Christmas Tag!

Hey all! I was in the mood to do a tag today, and I haven't done one in a really long time, so I thought that I would just hop on google and look for a fun one. Then I found the 2013 Christmas Tag, and I thought that that would be a festive one to post right after Thanksgiving so here we go!

1.  Do you prefer a real Christmas tree or synthetic?

I personally love the look of real trees, so that's definitely what I'm partial to, but in my house we've only used a small synthetic one.  I kind of hate the smell of evergreen trees, though.  I still really wish that we used one.

2.  You're in a coffee shop, it's December, what do you pick?

I don't actually like coffee, but I still buy fun coffee drinks at Starbucks and the local coffee shop anyway. I try to get different things every time, I go, though.

3.  Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating the tree?

I like have a few things that I like. I'm probably most partial to have red and gold, but silver and midnight blue are gorgeous. I just love sparkly things, too. We always go with our old things that we've collected throughout the years, so we always do random things.

4.  Giving or receiving?

I don't have any money, so I can't really get extravagant gifts, but I love putting them together. Getting the wrapping paper, doing the card, making the packaging special, because my mom always treats it like a chore. I always give my parents presents and write that they're from Santa.  It's fun. Of course, I love getting things, but you just feel so much more festive when you're making presents.

5.  To mince pie or not to?

My dad loves mince meat pie, but I've never layed a finger on it. In all honesty, I don't really like pie...I guess I just like really desert-y pies like chocolate. Mmm, chocolate.

6.  What's your traditional sunday lunch?

Er, we don't have one. My family actually isn't Christian, so we don't do anything like that. Not to say that we just do Christmas for the gifts, because my mom was raised Christian, but it's more just a family thing for the day than making anything out of Sunday.

7.  Christmas day fashion

I always wear my pajamas at home, but then when all the family gets together, I wear something nice but with all Christmas colors.

8.  What's your favourite Christmas song?

Well, I'm in choir, and we have a long Christmas set that we sing a million times throughout the year and our collective favorite song is White Christmas.  I really like that one. Other than that, I don't really know. Of course, I love the emotional ones like Christmas Shoes and Santa Bring my Soldier Home. (don't actually know if that's the real name, but I love that one.)

9.  What's your favourite Christmas film?

I actually haven't watched hardly any Christmas films! I don't have one! Tell me your favorite one and I'll watch it.

10.  Open presents before or after lunch?

Before. I'm the one that carries the holiday tradition in my house, so I wake up early and make breakfast for everyone and after breakfast we open all the presents.  Then we go to someone's house and all the family exchanges the last of the gifts.

Blogger Tag

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?

It's a little wavy on the top layer, but the bottom layer is pretty much stick straight.  It curls when it's shorter, though.

2. What is your natural hair color?

Dark brown.  People always call it black, but it's definitely not!

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

I've never dyed my hair. I would go to a salon, though, especially since I would have to bleach my hair to do anything with it.

4. How often do you wash your hair?

I wash my hair every other day.  Sometimes I use leave-in conditioner.

5. Do you wear the same hair style everyday, or do you change it?

I do nothing to my hair, every day. Always down and nothing. I don't even brush it. 

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

I do it myself. I've only been to a salon 3 times for nails, I think.

7. How often do you change your nail polish?

Once a week, give or take.

8. Do you polish your toes just in the summer, or in the winter too?

All the time, but I don't replace them very often in the winter.

9. How long does it take you to put your make up on?

Eh, about 20 min- 30 min.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

My eyes so that I can cover up any fallout. 

11. Do you 'collect' make up or just buy what you need?

Uh, I go through fazes when I collect, but I hate spending money, so I don't collect too much anymore.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

Never anymore. I sometimes wore half-lashes last year, though.

13. Do you do a full face of make up everyday?

Yes.  Except for weekends that I'm not doing anything. So, yeah, everyday.

14. Do you wear make up when you're home alone or with family?

Home, no, but I don't take off my makeup as soon as I get home, or anything.

15. Will you leave the house without make up on? 

I guess, but I don't really.

16. How many high-end products do you have?

Quite a few, especially Urban Decay, but really not that extensive, I don't thing. 

17. How often do you wash your make up brushes?

Not often enough. It's a problem.

18. Do you plan your outfit the night before or when you get dressed?

When I get dressed, unless it's something special.

19. How often do you change your handbag?

Almost never.

20. What time do you get up and go to sleep?

I wake up at 5:30, go to sleep sometime between 10:30 and 11:30 depending on if I decide to do my homework or not.

21. How often do you work out?

Rarely, but I've been dancing like crazy the past two days for dance auditions for school. Driving me crazy!

22.Left handed or right handed?

Right.

23. How tall are you?

5' 4''

24. Do you speak a foreign language?

Some Spanish.  A couple words here and there of German, Italian, French, and Latin.

25. How often are you on blogger?

Almost everyday, whether it's making posts or looking at other people's blogs.

26. Do you read the comments on your blog?

Yes! I reply too! It's so exciting!

27. Do you keep a list of products to try, from other peoples blogs?

I always keep things in mind, but like I said: I don't really buy that much anymore.

28. What is your favorite colour?

Teal! I love making lists of my favorite colors, though. I love jewel tones, though.

29. What made you start blogging?

I wanted to start doing something, but I wasn't ready to start making videos yet, so I thought that this would be a good way to start.

30. How do you get ideas for blog posts?

I don't think that my posts are particularly creative... I don't really need inspiration for them. Just inspiration for looks and stuff. All I do is looks, nails, and reviews. And the occasional tag. If you have any requests though, leave them below!

11 Questions Tag!

So, I wasn't actually tagged to do this, but Kassie from Unique Desire said to do this if you were so inclined, so I will.  Since I wasn't actually tagged for this, though, I'm not going to go about the whole process that this tag entails. Though that's really just because I'm lazy.

1. What Sparked your interest in Makeup and what made you decide to start blogging?

I think it was a mix of when I stumbled upon my mothers pathetic makeup collection when I was in first or second grade and started playing around with her makeup, when I was in 6th grade and my mom made the mistake of letting me wear makeup to school, and 7th grade when I found the very dangerous beauty community on youtube.  I started blogging because I thought that I had something to offer but I wasn't ready to start making youtube videos. Oh, and I had just stolen my mom's camera and realized that it was good.

    2.  If you could only use one monochromatic set of colors of eyeshadow what would it be? I.e. only shades of blue.

Ugh. I guess I have to be boring and go with brown/gold/bronze. As much as I would love to go with something more fun, I don't think whatever job I get in the future would appreciate me coming to work with teal eyeshadow.
  
    3.  Do you prefer playing with eyeshadow, lipstick or nail polish?

Definitely eyeshadow!

    4.  What do you want to be "when you grow up"?

The evil question. When I was little, I always wanted to be a singer, but what I want now... I have no idea. At all.

    5.  Favorite band/musician?

Another evil question! I love so many... Nope. Can't do it. Sorry.

    6. Favorite guilty pleasure?

Makeup?

    7.  How do you like to spend your days(you know after you've played with makeup xD)

Noodling on the computer.  Reading.  Exercise. Hangout with friends. Eat good food. Pretty boring.

    8.  Do you have any pets? If so, names and pictures!

I've had many pets. When I was little I was a child creepy cat lady.  Now I just have a dog, and his name is Pepper:

     9.  Do you prefer indie companies or cooperate companies to buy your makeup from?

As much as I love my indie brands... I much more frequently buy from cooperate companies. So that's what I have to go with.

    10.  The most rewarding thing about blogging for you?

Everything. Sharing with people. Whether it's people finding my blog/youtube and commenting/following or me finding an amazing blog/youtube/person and then talking with them, it's really just fabulous to talk to people who actually understand makeup how you do.

    11.  Who inspired you?

With beauty? Different youtubers. I guess in the beginning it was xsparkage, amarixe, AllThatGlitters21, and juicystar07 was the first. Maybe not my favorites now... but I've been watching them for years.
