Whisper Some Silver Reply

I know that it's been months, but I warned you about that.

I've been feeling inspired by one of my favorite musicals, Spring Awakening. The song lyrics have a number of colors in it, and I was inspired by the music. I'd like for this to be a series, but I don't know if that will ever happen. The first song is "The Guilty Ones". There's a line in it that says ...And whisper some silver reply. So I came up with this look. Sorry about the lighting, but I have an unsatisfactory camera situation.

Sorry there's no full face shot; I was too lazy to do this on more than one eye. It's hard enough for me to do symmetrical winged liner, much less thick, winged eyeshadow. Feel free to use makeup remover to make a sharp edge. Also, lining the edge with a light eyeshadow makes it pop more.

Revlon Not So Blueberry

This nail polish is beautiful. It has a slight duochrome and a beautiful shimmer. And it smells! Pretty good, actually. It sort of reminds me of açai berries, actually. The scent lingers, too. It's only strong for a little while, but you can actually smell it days later if you put your nails to your nose.  Even through topcoat, washing your hands, and showering.

So, this is two or three coats, I believe.  It's relatively opaque, but be sure to take some time in between coats, because it can bubble. Speaking of which, I think that I figured out why nail polish always bubbles on me. Did you know that your nail polish can bubble if your nails are cold? Well, I have low blood pressure, so my extremities are usually cold.  I think that that might explain it!  So yeah. Bottom line: watch for bubbling.

OPI Sea? I Told You

Sea? I Told You. Cute name, huh?  This used to be my favorite nail polish, and it's still way up there. I think it was actually the second OPI nail polish I ever bought. It's a gorgeous aqua with lots of shimmer. Some of the shimmers are a little bigger, and actually stand out on the nail, but they're no where near big enough to be considered glitter.  Unfortunately, this color is rather sheer. I usually have to wear about 4 coats of it. It's such a lovely color, though, so it's worth building up.
