Tresemme Moisture Rich Shampoo and Conditioner

Okay, so I'm not going to pretend for a second that I know anything about hair. I don't. My thing is really more makeup. I know nothing about hair, and you know what? I don't care. I don't want to know anything about hair. But, I know when I don't like a product.  And since this, in my opinion, is a bad product, I would think that most people who are more knowledgeable about hair, or not, would agree.  For reference, I have thick hair that isn't particularly dry or oily.

So, I don't like the shampoo or the conditioner. They both work very similarly to me.  Neither are very moisturizing. At first, for the first couple months, I would say, I didn't really notice anything. I don't really pay attention to my hair, as I said. But then I noticed that my hair wasn't as shiny as it used to be. And then, once I started to think about it, these products didn't make my hair very soft either.  The shampoo didn't make my scalp feel very good either.  It was mostly the dull hair, though. I love having shiny hair, and I don't do very much to achieve it. In other-words, the only products I use for my hair, usually, are shampoo and conditioner. Usually that's enough. Not with these.

Other gripes.
The containers are huge. You could never finish one of these! I've had them for months, and you can see on the conditioner, that it's only about half way through. Now, this is good, usually, that you get a lot of product for not super expensive, but I would so prefer if they were smaller and even less expensive, just because you're not even supposed to use the same shampoo and conditioner for a very long time.  I like the pump, and it work very well, but it's not that great.  Sometimes you have to pump it a lot to get the product out, and then it takes about 5 pumps for me to get as much product as I want.  Kind of annoying, and not as nice as it should be.

I like for my shampoo and conditioner to smell good. These smell kind of like apple hard candy. It's a good smell, don't get me wrong, but I find that usually with green apple scented hair products, they fade to become a more just tart sort of scent. And not in a good way. They do that as soon as you wash them out. These are no exception.  Not great. Even that scent doesn't linger.

All and all, I think that no one would enjoy this product, but it's not like it was a disaster either.  I just don't recommend it at all. It makes your hair dull and does nothing good. I think that you can buy a little travel version of it, though, so if you want to try it, just go with that.

Are you picky with your hair? Or do you do absolutely nothing, like me?

  1. Aww I actually love these two products I have probably used them for most of the year :)I find them to be very moisturising, strange how we could get such different results from the same shampoo and conditioner. Maybe its just to do with different hair types, mine is very fine so probably gets conditioned really easily x

    1. You know, that could be it, because I have really thick hair. I should probably put that in the post... Thanks!
