It's a little wavy on the top layer, but the bottom layer is pretty much stick straight.  It curls when it's shorter, though.
2. What is your natural hair color?
Dark brown.  People always call it black, but it's definitely not!

I've never dyed my hair. I would go to a salon, though, especially since I would have to bleach my hair to do anything with it.

4. How often do you wash your hair?

Eh, about 20 min- 30 min.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
My eyes so that I can cover up any fallout.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Never anymore. I sometimes wore half-lashes last year, though.

13. Do you do a full face of make up everyday?
Yes.  Except for weekends that I'm not doing anything. So, yeah, everyday.

Teal! I love making lists of my favorite colors, though. I love jewel tones, though.

29. What made you start blogging?
I wanted to start doing something, but I wasn't ready to start making videos yet, so I thought that this would be a good way to start.

30. How do you get ideas for blog posts?
I don't think that my posts are particularly creative... I don't really need inspiration for them. Just inspiration for looks and stuff. All I do is looks, nails, and reviews. And the occasional tag. If you have any requests though, leave them below!

I tag anyone and everyone! Comment below if you do it!

My Own Little Corner

Another Disney look! This one is Cinderella.  And, horror of horrors, I actually made a video for it. Yeah. Unbelievable, huh?

I'm wondering if maybe I should do a series on how to wear unwearable colors on your eyes in a way that's flattering. Colors like pink, red, yellow, orange, frosty blue, etc.  Because I think that the yellow here really works!  Tell me what you think about that.

I know that the quality on this photo is really weird, but I kind of like it!

And as opposed to the last look that I posted, here is a picture of
my face with the camera that doesn't make me look weird! Yay!

Eyes:
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance
  •  Urban Decay cream eyeshadow in Moonshine
  • Wet 'n Wild Blue Had Me at Hello palette
  • Inglot 60 AMC
  • NYC face primer (to help the glitter stick)
  • LA Splash Gaudy glitter
  • Elf black liquid eyeliner
  • Wet 'n Wild white pencil eyeliner
  • Coastal Scents 88 Metal Mania palette
  • Coastal Scents 88 Warm palette
  • Urban Decay Binge eyeliner
  • Revlon Photoready 3D mascara

Cheeks:
  • Cover Girl Natural Rose blush
  • Benefit Hoola Bronzer
  • Benefit High Beam highlighter

Lips:
  • Revlon Candy Pink lipstick
  • MAC She-Zam Dazzleglass

Can I just take a moment to say how bad this one look was for my eyes? I tried it once on my left eye, didn't work out, so I had to take it off and fix my face. That didn't make my eye happy. But then the successful look! I had eyeliner all over my inner tear duct for the whole video! Poor eyes.

Well, I hope that you guys liked this look more than my eyes did. I was actually really happy to do a video again... I didn't realize that I missed it.  I really hope to continue making videos, whether it's makeup, or singing, or something else.  Anyway, what Disney character do you think that I should do next? I'm thinking maybe Mulan? I've had an idea for her for a while... So we'll see.

Wet 'n Wild Born Into Privilege

Wet 'n Wild Born Into Privilege from the Spring 2012 Coloricon Be Jeweled collection.
Sorry, I could not get an accurate color photo for the bottle.

The next two pictures are Born Into Privilege layered over black.

It's more vibrant, though.

Duochrome glitter! What in the world could be better? I believe that this collection retailed for about $3 at CVS, but also keep in mind that the bottle is as small as it looks; only 0.30 fl oz as opposed to the usual 0.50 fl oz that nail polish bottles usually are.

Born into Privilege is mostly a greenish-golden color.  Since it's a duochrome, though, it has a number of other colors in it.  Some teal at extreme angles, But mostly green and gold. Sometimes silver.  It's mostly that color glitter but then also has some larger hexagonal multicolored glitters too. Looks like a party on your nails.

Let's talk for a minute about the formula.  The formula is okay; perhaps a little thick. It could benefit from some thinner if you plan on layering it over black.  The brush, though, is terrible.  It's very big, rather fluffy, gets clumps of glitter on it, and is not smooth, rather, it's kind of frayed.  It definitely makes application a lot harder.

Overall, I like the color, the shift really isn't that prominent, the brush is crappy, and the nail polish is averagely priced.  If you want to try the color, go ahead, but the whole collection isn't as groundbreaking as it sounds.

Kiss the Girl

Here is a look that I could have sworn I made a post about. I made a tutorial for this look months ago, and I thought that I made a blog post at about the same time... But I was looking for it, and now I don't believe that I ever got around to it! So, here's my long lost Ariel look, even though at the time, I didn't know that that's what I was doing with it, or that it was my Youtube first birthday!

Yes, I'm using the camera that distorts my face. Ugh. Ah well, it shows that
colors well. Just remember that's not what my face really looks like!

 Ahh! Sparkles!

Eyes:
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance
  • MAC Surf the Ocean pigment stack (the light green, and I believe a bit of the silver)
  • Coastal Scents 88 Warm palette
  • Aromaleigh Colette
  • MAC Studio Fix powder C3
  • Urban Decay Perversion liquid liner
  • Elf black gel liner
  • Covergirl Lashblast volume mascara
Cheeks:
  • Revlon Rose Rapture
Lips:
  • Revlon Petal lipstick
  • Random NYX lipgloss

This look ended up being so pretty and so sparkly.  You have to check out my tutorial for it, just so that you can see all of the sparkles better. This is why I love loose eyeshadows; the finish is always so beautiful.  Unfortunately, I find that they tend to transfer everywhere, but hey, who doesn't want sparkles everywhere?

I'm going to do a product review/major swatch session for some of my Aromaleigh eyeshadows soon.  The company went away for a while, about a year or two, but now they're back! You guys really, really should order from them, because that purple color (Colette) is stunning. It has purple and blue shimmers everywhere, and you can actually see them after you apply it.

I hope that you guys liked this look, and I really hope that I haven't posted it before and just wasn't able to find it.  If you have have any requests for looks, please ask! It really motivates me.  Anyway, love you all!

Revlon Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick Atomic

Another product review today!  These Revlon eyeshadow sticks were an enormously well received product in 2012, and while I've had it for months, I haven't reviewed it yet. Sorry.

205 Atomic

This is a comparison of Rubenesque paint pot and the gold half of Atomic.  Rubenesque on the left and Atomic on the right.

I really like this product.  I've never tried it without Too Faced Shadow Insurance, so I don't know how it performs by itself, but it doesn't crease with it and powder on top.  I'm going to compare this product a lot to Rubenesque paint pot, because it's a well known product and it's similar in color.  They both work well, but in different ways.  Paint pots are thicker, so when you layer eyeshadow over them, it adds a very unattractive textural look, especially when it's kind of dried out, like mine is.  But it actually looks pretty on its own.  Atomic goes on thinner and smoother; less pigmentedIt doesn't set quite as quickly either, which makes it easier to pack eyeshadow on. It makes one of my difficult eyeshadows (Inglot 407) actually look good when layered on top!

This is a duo, though, and the dark green side doesn't work quite as well. I wouldn't use it directly in my crease the way that's recommended.  That may work, I would just never use the product like that.  It's a nice crease color, I just feel like it would be patchy.  I would use it all over the lid, but since it's darker, I don't use that very often.  It's also drier than the other one.  Pulls on your eyelid a little bit.  It's totally usable, just not as much of an everyday color as they other one.

This product is definitely a good option if you don't want to buy Rubenesque paint pot, or something similar.  It's about $8 which would probably be worth the gold half alone if you were to use it all the time. I don't really use it that often, so it's not as worth it to me, but it's definitely a good product when I am using it with 407.

Would you buy a duo for only half of it?

MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot

Happy New Year guys! Now that I've been away for a while, I think that I'm going to try to do a post a week every week. Hopefully more, but that's kind of asking for a lot... Anyway, I'm starting this year with a review of one of my favorite products of all time.

MAC Paint Pots are definitely a cult favorite to a huge number of beauty gurus.  I personally have to use them with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, otherwise they crease after a few hours. And they definitely need powder to set them, otherwise they crease rather quickly.

This Paint Pot, on the other hand, I don't use as an eyeshadow base; I use it as an under eye concealer. The yellow tones in it cancel out the purple-blue tone of my under eye circles.  The color is also a little lighter than my skin tone, which brightens too.  The consistency is very creamy, and since this is usually used as a primer, it doesn't crease either when I use powder to set (which is always).

This product is perfect for my skin tone, or for one a little lighter.  I really can't recommend it enough. I've been using it for the past year and a half almost every single day and has lasted amazingly.  I love it, and it's really been worth the rather hefty price tag ($18.50). Comes down to about 3 cents a day.  All and all, I totally recommend this to people with a medium to light skin tone as both an eye primer and an under eye circle concealer.

What products do you use in a different way than they are intended?
